Just kidding!  1309's a magnificent achievement!  

Something of little consequence, I wonder if that's a bronze bell on 1309 or a painted steel bell?  During WW2 due to the copper-brass-bronze shortage a lot of locomotive bells were made of steel and painted to resemble bronze.

Right, that's a 1949 locomotive.  I was wondering if the bell was painted steel as it just doesn't look "right" for bronze, if you know what I mean.  Maybe they stuck with steel because it was cheaper?

Not that it matters in the general scheme of things.

Been hard to log on here. Where is everyone?

WOW this year is going out hard. Just got over the sinus crap now this. Monday morning I choked on a one-a-day men's over 50 vitamin tablet and it got stuck, so then I hacked up some coffee I had drank and then started bleeding like mad from my throat. Tore the lining when the pill got stuck and I started choking. So I called the Dr. office and found no one was there so I drove myself to the ER coughing up a lot of blood thinking whoa,,, this is it folks.. The bleeding slowed then stopped about 1.5 hours after I got there and they told me I should see a Dr. for a scope inspection. I don't think I need a referral and I want to make sure who I see is the best person I can use after the problems I have had. So I left my doctor a note to see what he thinks whenever he gets back?

Been on soft mush since and will be for the next few days and have a very sore throat. Barfed blood all over the side and inside door of the Ranger and had to clean up that mess. It is all from a botched scope job in 2020 so I don't feel to good about getting another one. They tried to call it Mallory-Weiss Syndrome caused by a Hiatal hernia and esophageal stricture. I call it BS. It was the stuck pill that cut me open caused by esophageal stricture from the botched scope job!

The hospital was a mad house over run with C-19 cases as "they" told me why they could not of kept me over night if they wanted to so they booted me out the door as soon as the bleeding stopped and I was fine with that. As soon as I got ther the first thing they did was jam a swab up my nose to my brains before they did anything. When I left the ER waiting room was full of people waiting to get seen. What a nutty world we live in today.

Anyway alive for another day. Having a better time with food today.

Mornin guys and gal(s). Foggy and 48 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Wifey and I still dealing with this cold. However, yesterday got a "gift" by way of a sunny 62 day. We grabbed our patio chairs and soaked up the rays, and felt better.
