Morning all. A unscheduled trip to the V.A. in Augusta today as my C-pac machine decided to stop working last night. Need to call them in about 40 minutes.

Mornin' boys.  Clear and 23 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Remains of white Christmas still on ground and deck.

We got a call Christmas Eve that put everything we had planned yesterday on hold.  Wifey's brother took a turn for the worse (leukemia), so we made the 4 hour drive to Philadelphia to spend precious time with him.  After we left U of Penn, I called an audible and we stopped off in Baltimore to see oldest Princess and grandsons.  Holding the baby was good medicine.

Dinner at 3 if you're nearby.

The snow that fell yesterday is still here today, so we had a whits Christmas this year.

Was a quiet one at home, just my wife and I.  Made loaded scrambled eggs for breakfast, then enjoyed a wonderful rib roast for the afternoon meal.

We had a Star Wars marathon today, watching episodes IV, V, and VI.

About all for now.

Cold day but clear.  Everybody made it here ok.  Everybody had plenty to it and seemed to have a good time.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Hello there, been a great Christmas.

Brunch with niece and family at 9 followed by gift exchange and dinner at the daughters. Left there just in time to do the barn work on the way to visit mom and have supper with her.

Came home to relax with a sip of wine. Now struggling to stay awake to finish this post.

Later

Prayers for those in need.

Dennis & Spank, a big 6 degrees out there right now and not much better the next few days. Winter is locked in. I love the bite of the cold on your face and nose. Just don't love too much of it! Smile, Wink & Grin

Chief, Glad I could help!  Yes

We had a very blessed Christmas overall. Only bummer is the state of affairs with Sandra's mom and sisters situations. I don't see any good outcome there, just the wait. Tongue Tied

Son, Russ and family are in Florida till the end of next week, he even called this morning. They seem to be doing fine and the kids seemed to be happy to talk to us and see us when we were at their house two weeks ago..

Daughter Katie and family came here yesterday for gift exchange and an oil change on her car. Gator rides in the woods and other fun.

Today we went to Katie's house for Christmas dinner with Dan's side and too many kids and people to keep up with.

All in all I could not hope for more??  Big Smile

40 degrees and real windy [wind chill is horrible].

Back from the southern part of the county. Went to Frankie's and Lea's to see what the grandkids got. They opened presents while we were there. Wifey took breakfast casserole [ham, grits and eggs baked]. The Yankee grandparents loved it. Just got back. Have now installed my WeatherTech's in 4 Runner and 97 Silverado.

The other Granddad is also a deer hunter. We had great chats.

Thanks Kev for posting photo.  got to figure out what is going on with Windows update.

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas, guys.

Santa thought I was bad, got a cold for Christmas, and for some it is a blessing since I have lost my voice.

Turkey and Ham are in the oven, up late for Christmas Eve mass, just me and Mom.  Everyone else went this morning.

No gifts this year for the nieces and nephews, no one was well enough to go shopping.  I did the immediate family and stopped there.

It threatened to snow but we got rain.  Sun shine now at 37F and winds at 25-35.

I'm going back to the kitchen and try to finish up.

Joyous Christmas, my friends, God bless us, everyone!

Merry Christmas to All !

We too had a wonderful Christmas eve, took Kay's parents to church, then our house for lasagna.  Ran trains for a little bit, and was very lucky everything worked as hoped.  Ran a Big Boy with 14 reffers, the J with all 7 pass cars, and a pair of AC4400's with 7 UP pass cars.  Even rotated all 3 trains on 3 tracks.  I was impressed, first time did that.

Then we watched John Candy's "Uncle Buck", everyone enjoyed.  Chris here and spent the night, and today will probably be more of the same.

Great picture of Col and his Mom, he definetly looks excited.

Prayers for all, and may each of you and your families have a wonderful day!

God Bless!

Merry Christmas,

It is 11 degrees out there and won't hit 20 today but it is a White Christmas!!!

Still alive after the Christmas Eve bash. House is now quiet the belly was full and new oil in the daughters car went well.

The only bummer is we never made it into the basement to run trains. The new tires on the Gator are good in the snow and it had no problems driveing around the yard and woods in the almost 5" we got.

Fire in the fireplace and all is good! Cooking a ham to take to Daughter's this afternoon for Christmas day.

The boy called to let us know the weather is fine at Disneyworld where they are spending their holiday two weeks. Yes

Best get cracking!

Merry Christmas

our Christmas Eve gathering was good. Traditionally the kids & grandkids gather here for a Christmas Eve meal. Ham, tater salad, chicken dip, meatballs, and more.

Followed that with a few hours in bed before Midnight Mass. Afterwards wrapped the last of the presents and now back to bed. Brunch at niece's then the whole crew at daughters for lunch.

Tonight a special prayer for those in need.

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all our friends on the Pot.  It was warm here today and not at all like a white Christmas.  Going out to eat for the second night in a row with friend from church.  I don't know if he is lonely or thinks I am but whatever, I'll take it.  My oldest son and his family will spend Christmas day with me.  Bought all kinds of junk at the store yesterday.  Hope somebody uses it. Have a good one,

Ray

Afternoon all!

Sunny and very windy. Another front came through and it will freeze tonight.

Back from services and family lunch at a local burger place. Sat in the bar where the kids could watch all the games. Good fun!

We also do a Christmas Eve dinner at a nice restaurant. Seafood this year. Then home for beverages and family fun.

Hope all have a great day! Prayers to uplift those needing it!

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 38 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Calling for wind and some Snohizo overnight.  Already went to market for fresh pies for tomorrow's dinner.  Wifey is wrapping last of the gifts now.  After a 14 hour/2 trip day, youngest princess is still in bed.  She earned it.  She racked up the most 1-day sales for the year, then we gave the coaches a once over cleaning.

Santa is whooped.  Loved the kids.  As for the adults, we will post this sign next year:  PARENTS Please be courteous to those waiting in line behind you.  (Yeah, we'll see how much that ink was waisted...)Sigh

Happy B-Day to the Idea of the world.

Happy Christmas Eve.  Grandgirls and Col due at noon.  Col is crawling and pulling up.  Will be into things I'm sure.  Wifey has fixed the girls up with everything they wanted.  Col gets a Remington .243 rifle with scope for his first Christmas.  Will be funny to watch the parents open the box.  Especially after I say, "Every little boy needs a Daisy Red Ryder BB."  Spoil them is the name of the game.

Kev, give them some corn.  What we do.  Also, they love old bread, cake, donuts, pie and etc.  No joke.

God bless you all.

Hi guys,

Woke up to a winter wonderland with three deer standing in the front yard looking in the windows of the house asking for some food. It is 20 out and will only hit 23 today so they will be a lot more friendly from here out till the weather gets better. Snowing steady but light now.
Katie and the kids are coming out around 1:00 for their gift exchange and an oil change on Katie's car. So I better get going and start the pork roast I am doing in the crock pot or it won't be done in time. And I had better feed those deer too.

Have a Merry Christmas Eve guys.

Morning all!

The beards are looking good boys! I never got past "vacation" beard.

Well, we did one final run yesterday to Walmart and Menards to pick up some special orders. I wonder what the special order from Menards could be....

We had the Mrs' dad's side over last night for round one of Christmas. We took the easy way out and ordered pizza!! Watched some football (ugh, my Packers) and had a good evening. Round two at my BIL's today.

Spank - Thanks for the back story. Nice write up on the tailgating! I usually get to Ann Arbor a few times a season to see my Wolverines. We usually have van full with all of the tailgating gear. Sometimes that's better than the game! We started doing road trips this season. Our first one was Purdue. We are planning to go to see Notre Dame in September. We might have to add another road trip to New Jersey on November 10th. Go Blue!!

Well, off to hockey and church.

Have a good one.

Good evening all,

Granddaughter's ballet show was good.  Had better seats and could actually see what was occurring.  We got to see her for a minute after the show as well.  Her face just lights up talking about it.  Okay, it is not soccer, but it is still "footie".  Weather was cold, but mostly dry.  Lots of projects tomorrow.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Warning, Got a strange e-mail that said it was from Doug Murphey with a link in it. I did not open it and I don't think Doug sent it.

They are calling for 2" two 4" of snow tomorrow. Katie and the klan are coming out for a gift exchange so we will see how that goes.

Got a few things to do but not much.

Yesterday I went to the assessment office and signed up for my senior citizen exemption that will knock another 5K off the property tax assessment on top of the 6K general homestead exemption. That should help some. Made to much last year to get the senior tax freeze but they are raising the bar next year to 65K so I should be able to do that for 2018 taxes.

I have had my beard since 1976, Only cut it off once so I could wear a mask to rebuild a  Anhydrous ammonia pump.

Enjoy Christmas!
