Lead or Cast Metal ?

The other day I saw a layout with "Made in England" lead figures.

All the figures on our layout are plastic, most of which, were made in China.

Just wondering if any of your people, animals etc. are lead or cast metal?

I have a number of metal figures and little extras. Some are Authenticast, some are from Selly Martin Sales, which i beleive was purchased by Bowser long ago. The Selly stuff might be from Authenticast molds. I have some Barclay too. I don't think any of them are lead. IMHO, lead is too soft.

Also Railchief animals. I belive Railchief was the house brand for Model Railroad Equipment Corp on 45th St in Manhattan, NY

I have few items of lead that I don't use on the a layout instead wife has with some of her other antiques in a hutch with glass in the doors. There about 1:43 sze but she has claimed them. Unless your really going to try and move lead figures arms or something they are fine. they don't seem to me to be soft but rather a firm flexible if you move it a lot thou they will break as any metal would in time.
