1936-37 American Flyer Blue Streak
Posted by That.one.collector on Thursday, December 17, 2015 8:31 PM

So I have an American Flyer Blue Streak from 1936. I have the engine and tender #1121. Any idea of where i could possibly find the other cars that go to the train. They would be labeled #1122 and be blue. I have looked about everywhere with no luck. Id really like to finish this train and set it up on a layout in memory of my grandfather( he was the previous owner of the engine and tender). Any help would be appreciated. If you happen to stumble across the cars please drop a link to them in the comments. Thank You.

Watch for them on ebay.  They are not overly expensive cars and do show up.

In fact, there is a set of the cars on e-bay right now - unfortunately their condition leaves something to be desired.

Those are rough but should go reasonable.  You can do a restoration.  My restorations albiet less valuable from a monetary standpoint have more value to me.

They would look really neat restored

I won that auction by default. I was the only one who bid on them. They are crusty on top but the running gear is in pretty good shape. I have been looking for some of these in less than nice condition to repaint. They will look great coupled to my customized Marx CV.
