Dave, thank you for all of your contributions to the toy train hobby. You will be in my prayers and thoughts. God Bless!
Thank you.
I am now in rehab.
I was released from the O SU hospital and sent back to Portsmouth by ambulance 110 miles. Placed in a nursing home and now back in our local hospital the Southern Ohio Medical Center. With severe pain where I was cut.
Best wishes to you, DB.
Thanks everyone. I am now in rehab, it may work wonders but you gonna have PAIN!
David, I am going to chapel this morning with my wife. We will say some prayers for you. I have three cancer surviving sisters who are all holding their own for a long time. One of them was diagnosed with stage 4 and is still doing great. Still driving, shopping, whatever and also host a cancer survivors group at the hospital where she went. She is home now and has been for the past two years. I flew from California to North Carolina back then thinking I was going to a funeral but she's still doing good. God bless you.

So many roads, so little time.
David,
I don't mean to seem unfeeling, but have you considered finding an advocate to file an claim on your behalf against the National Asbestos Trust Fund? If you google it, you will find information. You are entitled to compensation.
God Bless
Chin up buddy. Prayers.

Sorry to hear about the surgery. Keep a positive outlook. We are all pulling for you. Like Ted said, you are not alone.

Sad to report the surgery was not successful. Do not know if there are many options.
We arrived in Columbus and are at a motel across from the hospital. Operation prep starts at 930am.
Thanks, older is an honor!
I am 73 and until July had excellent health. As long as I worked at AMVETS never took a sick day.
I appreciate you folks.
Since I am not service connected, the VA wouldn't schedule me in when my lung first bothered me in July.. I was told my next appoint was in April.
In November I became very ill and my daughter and wife took me to Urgent Care. I was examined and sent to the ER. The doctors sent me to our community leading pulmonary specialist who took charge. He found asbestosis! Then a biopsy mesothelioma was found.
Hope all goes well.
