$11.00 Amusement Park Rocket Ship Ride

I just got back from a vacation to South Florida. Unforunately, much of my time was spent in activities related to hurricane Jeanne. She precluded my trip to Ready to Roll in Miami. I did however get to take the family to Disney for a few days. Thanks to the hurricane, the lines were very minimal.

While there I was able to pick up an amusement park ride I plan on putting on the layout. It is a miniature version of the Magic Kingdom Astro Glide rocket ship ride found in tomorrow land.

I picked it up at the "Once Upon a Toy Store" in Downtown Disney. Both this ride and the Dumbo ride were being closed out at half price for only $11.00. They are essentially the same ride with different cars to sit in. It runs on 2 AA batteries.

If you have an amusement park or carnival on your layout and know anyone who may be visiting Disney soon, you may want to have them pick this up for you. They can even ship it to you directly from the store.
