Good morning!

I will try it again for my last post just deleted itself.

SJ: Happy Belated Anniversary!

RT: LOL about the cartoon of the Easter Bunny!

Kev: LOL about the door locks. That is why I leave the driver's window open whenever I work on a vehicle.

KevinK22: See you at York! Speedy Recovery for you son. Hope he feels better soon.

Jake: $5000 a semester is very reasonable tuition. Be thankful and proud for the award that you received.

Jeffrey: Glad you are feeling better.

Chief: Enjoy the kids as you drive the Fire Truck!

Have a Great Day!

John

Good morning.

Going to tie up some loose ends on my P-38 before starting on the Me 109. Some final assembly, paint and decals are all that are needed.

Morning.  Warm.  Finally close to normal highs.  Off to drive the "fire truck" with the Easter Bunny.  3 hours of hauling kids. Confused

LAZ, go catch em.  Show us some photos.  Enjoy.

Haven't wired up the "Chief shooting the beaver" scene again.  Alan [6] was asking about it on the layout.  Explained it too him.  Thought it was funny.

Have a great day.

PS: Have you seen the Mayors' Against Illegal Guns [ a Blumberg sponsored org.] latest add.  Guy dressed up like he is a hunter holding a shotgun.  Look at it.  He has his finger on the trigger. SurpriseThumbs Down  Really is a shooter.  One of our STUPID female Mayors is a sponsor.  The one that said she would not have allowed Gander Mountain in her town if she knew they sold guns.  Also, in a Mayors' Assoc. meeting, said Bass Pro Shops [coming to neighboring town] did not sell guns. Hello all

Another quiet night collecting photons.

Went to the 'big city' today to get some glue for a project I am working on. No action seen on the AZ Eastern RR, but nice to be close to the tracks.

Found some small Seabee stickers that I'm going to use on the headset of the 'BumbleBob' since I guess it's kind of my own design.

DougM - something should be arriving in port soon...Whistling

Good thing it's not an Easter Beaver or Chief might try and shoot him...Stick out tongue

Looking forward to finding a pillow after getting up earlier so I could drive to town.

Good Morning All,

So the fun just doesn't stop here. Easter pictures yesterday at the mall, than lunch. My oldest spent the night at my sister-in-laws, so you would think that with just my youngest home it would have been relatively quiet..... nope after having a small virus for most of the week, it has now decided to leave him for good in the form of crooping cough. So that's right hardly any sleep for the three of us. Taking him to the pediatrician this morning although probably won't be able to do much for him; but he has had infant asyma since he was about one. More or less just making sure his lungs are o.k. Hopefully the Easter Bunny can bring him some relief finally, and he can get back to himself. Oh well other than that pretty quiet here. Hope all you you and your families have a Happy Easter!! Have a good day.

Good whatever??  Reclinerized after getting home from a big plate of Smithfield Bar-be-que.  Just took dogs and cat out and back in.  Busy day.

Trip to Harbor Freight for some special items with Insider Club discount.

Stopped by Hunters Haven.

Fred was here shooting his hunting [high$] pellet rifle.  Had been dropped.  Scope is damaged as can't be adjusted.  Reticle knocked off bad.  He remounted a different scope and came back.  Shot it in here.  Loud so he didn't want to shoot in his neighborhood.

TWC tech came.  No sound on Channel 516 [Sportsman Channel].  We discovered that TWC has sent an upgrade to the system and it caused all of the Cisco boxes to drop the sound on channel 516.  Installed Samsung boxes, got volume.  Checked shows DVR'd since the Monday night upgrade, no sound on Cisco but sound on Samsung.  Crazy.  Installed Samsung boxes in bedroom and and Train Box.  Left the whole house DVR Cisco box in living room to keep Wifey's Christmas movies that were DVR'd.  TWC is sending situation to their programers to fix the Cisco box problem.  Ran trains for the TWC tech.  He was amazed with sound, smoke and remote control.

Put up two fancy bird houses on 4X4's.  One is a "monster" with copper roof.

Took Wifey to Home Depot and then Smithfield's.  Got home at 9. Watched DVR'd Scandal.  After that, watched back side of eye lids.

Tomorrow is a zoo too.  Suppose to drive the train in the park for Easter Egg Hunt like last year.

Seems the lady handling the event messed up and did not get the train reserved.  Now I am driving some kind of fire truck for kids to ride in.   Bang Head  This is from 10 to 2.  Then rush to MIL's for bar-be-qued chicken and ham [family Easter meal].  Wifey says Easter, right after early Church and Sunday School, going to Golden Corral for all the prime rib and shrimp you can eat deal. Dinner  Dieting shot again.

Sleep tight.

PS: forgot to mention for SJ and MitchRR [Charlie], MI State and Duke.  HUMMM Whistling

People need to learn a measure of self control and tolerance - just my thought for the day.

Dropped Char and the kids off at AMTRAK today and they are in Harrisonville with the in-laws for 2 days.  They had a good trip and arrived right on time.  I got a new clip-on microphone to use with my laptop, but it was $30!  Also my Johnny Sokko and the Flying Robot dvd set arrived from Amazon - great picture and just as cheesy fun as I remember from when I was a little kid!  I have my eye out for any toy train action in it Smile

Ryan - I'm sure it does. I just wondering how much he has been spending on lottery tickets compared to how much he's been paying to catch up with his child support.

How about if you owe back suport for child suport you have to pay minumum of double and estiment suport for child to it reaches 22 ( incase it goes to collage which you need to fund then and there) a sum = to 3 X what was already set as now that you can afford more you know your share is going to go up when she/he takes you to court.

Absolutely NOT!

Child Support is based off your income at the time the child support level is determined. You are saying that if you future income increases then the courts should go back and adjust your previous payments to your current income level... yeah that will increase the number of parents who currently do not pay CS to start paying it!

No - how about if you win the lottery you pay the taxes on the entire amount, then your back payments are garnished from your winnings. If the child hasn't reached 18 then the remaining payments are also garnished and placed into a trust for the child (receiving parent can withdrawl upto the monthly payment once per month).

If the receiving parent then wants to request the court to adjust the payment then they need to do so via legal means as they normally would.

Not all people who miss CS payments are doing so to bilk the system. Many have lost jobs and have had to take lower paying jobs, but the courts refuse to adjust the payments down...

This makes more sense to me. Thumbs Up

Good evening.

Canopy is going on the P38J Lightning. When I get all of the detail parts on it, I'm going to set it aside and start on the Me 109. Will get the paint and decals on some other time.

Nothing to really report today other than that I applied for a scholarship through Penn Tech. Checked to see how much assistance I would get from the feds. Guess how much it was? ONLY $302 FOR THE FIRST SEMESTER! PENN TECH IS 5 GRAND PER SEMESTER, AND THAT'S ONLY COUNTING TUITION! I know, it's something, but it feels like a slap-in-the-face low amount. Jeez.................

I got a few things on the layout put away today and the GP7's, GP35 and the slug got a good run. The last couple of days I've been watching a lot of my Star Trek 'Enterprise' shows. I'm up to the last DVD on season two. Two more seasons to go. I've got them all as well as the all the movies, the original series and the animated series. I hope to someday be able to get the entire Star Trek 'Voyager' series. I don't care much for the Next Generation and DS9. Looks like we might get wet this weekend and the weather guesser is talking about rain all the coming week.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Ohayō,

It is a rainy and cold Saturday morning here.  We’re supposed to have a potluck and Easter party at the church today, but I believe all the outdoor activities for the kids will be cancelled.  We will need to spend some time cleaning the house today as we are expecting company for Easter dinner tomorrow.

KevinK22 – Frackville is only three miles away from Shenandoah.

AF Ray, Ryan, RT, & Brent – I don’t know this guy’s whole situation, but I would hope the guy would want to pay his back child support and even give more to his kids now that it appears he can afford it.

Happy Anniversary SJ!  Thanks for the info on the Escape.

Good evening all,

It was mild in SE Indiana today.  Took two cars in for oil changes and swept the house.  That was about it for the day.  Did get out MTH 384E to charge up the PS-2 battery.  Engine and sounds started off right away which was good considering it had been boxed for a year.  Going to have it ready for the grandkids on Sunday.  They love the whistle and the chuff-chuff.  Got a new Trains mag today.  Looks good as usual.  Last Indiana team got knocked out of NCAA last night and looked terrible doing so.  No racing this weekend.  Rested some today as well.  Needed it.  TBIL and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Temp is 51 and it stayed sunny all day.

RT a clean Noma station is a good snag. My sister got a Noma doll for Christmas one year. It recited Mary had a little lamb. Church and potluck went well, a neighbor went with us and our # DIL & 2 grandsons were there. I got home in plenty of time for my nap. Already had a root beer float but banilla will be waiting for the crew...S.J.

Evening all well I somehow manage not to get in the dog house even with getting 7 boxes in today and she was there the first 4 ( 2 tiny 2 large flat rate boxes) she watched and laugh as we were doing yard work and I rolled the wheel barrel over to pick them up after we got in she asked any more packages coming I said yes and who shows up UPS which normally is last to show up around 7 - 9 P.M. well it was like 2 and he showed up. so all calmed down and she goes any more???!!! I go yes FedEx is coming tonight also this was about 4 you guess it no more get it out my mouth ding dong Dang this stuff I got in is awesome some of it. I got a couple of unexpected items as guess they threw them in at last minute just to get rid of it. ( a Noma station) complete with inners and all. needs new belt and one motor screw hole is broke out but believe its fixable.

But may just use it as a station anyway. One whistle tender I need to work on for some reason not getting power thru the frame But all 3 engines work and smoke units work also so thats a plus. 2 tenders work as they should so thats another plus. I have my work cut out for me cleaning some of these up. some look like there were in the damp cellar and need minor restoration but as a whole still a good set

Afternoon every one

computer crashed at work today so I could post or follow the pot today

RT, Brent, AF all good points (I just skimmed the posts didnt read every word)

I will add this to the discussion, and other wise staying out of it.   My sisters son's father is 29,000 dollars in arrears and the kid is only 8 years old.   No one can find this guy, and once in a while they do, the judge allows him to pay 20.00 and releases him.    Shy of winning the lottery, my sister will NEVER see this money from that dead beat.

anyway i'll try to get caught up on every ones musing a little later

Brent I might not been clear I believe were saying the same but why you brought in the reduction I'm not sure we were talking about those not paying and winning a very large sum via the lottery not the poor guy that lost his job and couldn't pay where that person comes into this is should he win the lottery but in my point why is he playing the lottery if he can't afford to do other things.

any how what I was getting at was when someone was brought to court to increase the payment I have seen where the payee pointed out how the reciver of funds for there child is now living a very well life style instead of using the money for the child. And the court started monitering there spending of the childs funds.

My first response was to take double or triple out of the winning to ensure the child was taken care of till the reach 22 not triple the payment. My thought on this while the money is there make a trust fund to suport the child till they get to the age and have funds there for the child to goto collage again I'm talking about some one winning ( after taxes) like a few million or more so they also would still have a nice sum to live off of. The guy that job was down graded and he/she actually have proof to prove it ( ie tax returns from previous year and present pay stubs for last 3 months then it should be adjusted as if they still where a family all parties would of had to adjust. Now wouldn't they but they don't see it that way I know. and while were at it I feel if the person recieving funds should hit the lottery the payee payment should be reduced maybe eliminated depending on how things are going for that person again talking large winnings not for anything under a few million. I'm for the child really just want to make sure the child when possible is well taken care of. I was never blessed and didn't have the funds to go the route you where able to and I feel tickled to know you because of being able to do so. And glad to know you for that.  ( I also feel the same about Dennis and anyone else that is able to do this)

Bill - seriously you are speaking in circles. Why would the party receiving monies ask the court to reduce the payments? That makes NO sense. If I am the one paying (payer) and my income goes down I would petition the court to reduce the payment due to hardship. I have NEVER heard of the courts reducing Child Support payments for this reason, they simply expect the payer to adjust their lifestyle so they can make the payments. HOWEVER I have seen where the payee (receiving party) finds out that the payer has received an increase in pay and they petition the court to have the payments adjust UP.

Tongue Tied

Your original response was to have the courts AUTOMATICALLY double, no triple, the payments due. That is theft, and is a socialist belief of redistribution of wealth. What claim does the receiving party have to anything other than the back payments + interest? None. Now if they want to claim that since the payer now has more income (wealth) and they can therefore afford to pay more that is fine, and the courts - to protect the child's interests, should therefore adjust the payments due AND receive payment for all future payments (to ensure the payer actually pays the CS).

If they would do this I feel rather confident those not paying would find a way to pony up and pay what is due NOW rather than taking the chance they would have to pay the penalties in the future.

I'm shocked you know one to be honest as I always see it the other way if the court isn't governing the spending of the money and I have seen 2 cases like that because the payee brought it to the courts attention.

But on other things

Been a slow day here good thing I'm off for the day but have to work the weekend. But there talking of letting us work every other weekend coming up soon instead of work 2 and off one were going to 1 and 1 yeah about time.

Helped what I could the wife gets some plants planted. Now resting need to call the computer manufactures yet again about this dang computer. This has been the most hateful computer I have ever had

Brent hate to break your bubble but have seen it time and time again where co-worker is taken back to court because there making more money now

Oh and I did mean for it to be put in a trust fund governed by the state or a set up trustee to monitor to ensure currant guardian isn't using money for there pleasure

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about... I have no bubble to burst here. I know full well what transpires in child support payment cases... it rarely works out well for either the payer or the payee. Read my post again...

I said "I have never seen payments REDUCED when a person has to make less due to job loss." The payments CAN and nearly ALWAYS DO go UP, rarely are they adjusted DOWN.

I have also seen where CS is used by the payee to enhance THEIR lifestyle, while ignoring the needs of the child. Child Support is supposed go to providing for the CHILD not allowing the payee to live in a 6,000sqft house, drive a luxury SUV, go to 5-star restaurants, etc. But it happens MORE than you would think. Of the 20+ people I know who either pay or receive CS I know of 1 yes 1 who actually puts the money into an account for their child's education. Clothing, food, and housing comes out of her paycheck.

Hello, performing some work on my work caboose today, it's quite far along for just one morning. But then again, it didn't need a whole lot of cutting and gluing. It was mainly just some altering of parts.

AF53, maybe not ineligible, but it comes right off the top?

Ryan - I'm sure it does. I just wondering how much he has been spending on lottery tickets compared to how much he's been paying to catch up with his child support.

How about if you owe back suport for child suport you have to pay minumum of double and estiment suport for child to it reaches 22 ( incase it goes to collage which you need to fund then and there) a sum = to 3 X what was already set as now that you can afford more you know your share is going to go up when she/he takes you to court.

Life's hard, even harder if your stupid  John Wayne
