8-range multitester

OK!   So I've got time on my hands.  Found this Micronta 8-range multitester in the garage.  Is this something I need for the trains?  If so, what do I do with it?   As always, many thanks.

Something like this?  http://cgi.ebay.com/Micronta-1-000-OHMS-Volt-Multitester-Boxed-L-K-S-/360384377914?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e895343a

You can measure AC and DC voltage, DC current, and resistance with it.  If it doesn't work, there's probably just a fuse blown inside, which you can replace.  Keep it.
