022 Frog Replacement
Posted by srguy on Monday, March 14, 2011 8:40 AM

Recently bought a used 022 Mt. Clemens production (if that matters) and discovered the the "frog" is bent and would like to replace. Has anyone had experience doing this?

If I'm not mistaken, the 022 frog is cast into the plastic top of the turnout and is not a separate replaceable part.  Are you sure you meant "frog" and not the points or, as lionel callst them, the "swivel rails"?  The swivel rail assembly is 022-6 (right) or 022-7 (left).

I may be wrong about the name of the part ... what I'm referring to is the wide center rail with what appears to be a rivet through it.

Okay.  That's the "common center rail assembly", 022-45 (right) or 022-46 (left).  Here's a link to the service information:  http://pictures.olsenstoy.com/cd/swt/stc022d.pdf
