Train oil
Posted by Liz on Sunday, December 12, 2010 7:55 PM

I have a Lionel 027 Gauge set I got years ago for Christmas.   I thought I remembered that if you put oil in the smoke stack that it would puff out smoke!  I got it out this year to put under the tree,  but I can not remember where the oil goes for sure to make it smoke.  The engine is a 8704 model.  Does any one know for sure if this engine did smoke or if I was dreaming .Idea

Smoke fluid, not oil, goes into the stack.  4-8 drops at a time.
