Bob Neslon, your email is sending out emails with NO SUBJECT in the subject line. There is a trojan attached to it. You might want to check your computer. Hope this is not in appropriate, but didn't know any other way to contact you without risking a virus.

Thanks.  It's been happening intermittently over the past few weeks.  It has happened when my computer has been off, which, along with the virus scanner's failure to find anything, makes me think that someone has figured out my e-mail password and is simply logging into my account.  I can't do the obvious and change my password because my wife can't remember the answer to the security question from many years ago and AOL won't talk to me.  My plan is to get out all the e-mail that I have saved in that account and shut it down; but that is not a quick solution.  Maybe you or someone else who knows more than I do about these things can suggest other measures.

Sorry Bob, I can be of no help. I am just barely computer literate. About as bad as I am with electronics. I've gotten two of them over about the past month. No problem now, I just delete it when I see it but it could effect others who aren't suspecting it. One thing I have done is create a list of all my passwords and secret questions and answers and hidden it in my computer because I can't remember which passwords go with which sites. I have one that I use for everything that lets me pick my own, but some sites assign a password. I hate those.

Good luck with it.

Terry

Bob, I had tried to reply to your email to let you know about it.  It was returned as a bad address.  Anyway, you may want to use the free spyware/ trojan fighting program from Super Anti-Spyware.com.  I had a Trojan that got past Norton 360...when I called Norton to fix the problem, they wanted to do a "deep scan" and charge me $100 on top of what I had paid for Norton 360.  I called up a friend who is at the top of the computer knowledge tree and he told me to use the Superantispyware.com site.  You can always donate to them if you like how they clean up your system.  I am sure it will take care of any issue your computer may have regarding these bugs.

I'm having a similar problem with my hotmail account, so I sent out an email to folks advising them I'm no longer using hotmail and anything received from me from hotmail to delete it immediatly. I now use yahoo.

Bob,

Good suggestion. I have Super Anti Spyware installed and have used a couple of times to get rid of nasty problems. Should have thought of that and suggested it. It works and it is free. You can donate to them if you like the product. It will clean up a lot unwanted stuff.

Good luck.
