I hope you don't mind me starting this week and a bit early, but I might be away most of the day tomorrow. Here are some shots of a weathered coal tower I recently picked up.

Thanks for starting the thread this week Joe. Nice pictures of the coaling tower. And thanks to everyone who posted, I really like those animal cracker cars.
During the month of September the Lake Superior Transportation Museum in Duluth MN is running something special on their weekend excursions - steam power. All month long the 2719 is being fired up and pulling the train to Two Harbors Minnesota and back.
Last Sunday was a particularly important day for me, as my son was the student fireman on the run.
He even managed to get old dad up into the cab for a few minutes before the run began.

NW Flyer - I'm sure that was a fun day. Our local train museum will have a caboose train ride next week, but we are going to have to miss it.
Kurt - Your depot looks great. I did not build that coal tower. It was on consignment at a hobby shop. I would like to make buildings look that good, but I'm not there yet.
Seayakbill - I always enjoy your photos. I am fond of that Yuengling building since I grew up near Pottsville.

Didn't have camera with me today rich when I was out taking wife for a ride but there was a Fire engine along side the road for sale looked to be about a early/mid 60's
This is one of the toy train scenes from Steamtown's Railfest 2010 last weekend. A group of Lego model railroaders set up a display in the History Museum.
In addition to fantasy houses, they also showcased this authentic model of the Tamaqua, PA Reading RR station.
They even have a windfarm to keep the lights on. The Reading & Northern freight is wizzing past the neighborhood.
Those are some great pictures! I sure am jealous of you guys with large areas to build a layout, but thankful for the space (and understanding, supportive wife) that I have.
