Basically looking to source a wiring diagram for something I've read about but never came across for 2 single motored 2023 Alcos using the e-unit in one of them to control both; and if any have tried this and had satisfactory results? Thanks.
Mine are wired that way. It works great. Just wire the second motor in parallel with the first, but with the brush connections swapped. You should need 3 wires between units, field and two brushes. The return can be through the frame of the second unit, which is where the other end of the field winding is normally connected anyway.
While you're at it, consider wiring the headlights for directional operation. Connect the non-grounded side of the lamp to one of the motor brushes. If it lights going the wrong way, use the other brush instead.
