Train Show
Posted by traindaddy1 on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 7:35 AM

FYI    Just received a 'flyer" advertising a show that is billed as "The largest Toy/Train show in the Northeast"  I've never been to this show but a neighbor is taking me. Maybe you might be interested.

The  27th annual "The Great Westchester Train & Toy Show"  presented by The Westchester Toy & Train Associates will be held January 31, 2010  (9:00 - 3:00) at the White Plains - New York County Center   Rte 100 & Tarrytown Rd. White Plains, N.Y.

No need to reply, just an FYI.      As always, thanks.

Another nice size train show near your area is the one held in Hamburg PA(just off hwy 61 & I-78) at the field house auditorium, in the spring or summer.

What makes this the "largest" is the use of the phrase "Train & Toy".  If its TRAINS you want, there will be some 40,000 people at the Big E fairgrounds in Springfield, MA this Saturday and Sunday.  I'll be there, along with Lionel, M-T-H, Atlas-O...all the big dealers too!

Lee F.     Jon        THANKS FOR THE INFO.

Jon:  Just checked out  TRAIN SHOW on the computer.  Looks great but unfortunately this "older" guy isn't able to make it.  (126.29 miles - 2 1/2 hours   one way)  Thanks, again.

It's a three hour trip for me, but the local train guys charter a bus complete with train videos, coffee and bathroom breaks and a stop for dinner on the way back!
