Many of my engines are PS-1 including 2 I just got at a "bargain". I read some concerning posts. I have replaced the batteries with capacitors from J&W Electronics. Does this add protection that would make them as reliable in the long run as PS-2 items? Frankly, I wish they had no chip. I find the noises annoying after awhile.
