O vs O

Fellow Potters,

College football is about to come a climax again. Pasadena, California was once prouldy served by the AT&SF El Capitan. Legend has it, that special trains visited the storied Southern California City on Jaunary 1, and haunted their rail yards for several hours while the Grand Daddy of All Bowls took place at The Rose Bowl.

This year, its Oregon & Ohip State playing in Pasadena. No special trains, that I know of, but a special occasion nonetheless....for me, from Far Northern California, to start the annual banter, this time between SnOhio and SnOregon fans!

I say, "GO DUCKS!!"

Seems to me that one of the years the Minnesota Golden Gophers went west to the Rose Bowl, their train derailed or had an accident and was delayed. (Teams still travelled by train then.)Would have been late December of 1960 or 1961.
