The Essentials in the January issue

I just read "THE ESSENTIALS"  in the January issue. My hat is off to Carl Swanson, Kent Johnson, Bob Keller, Roger Carp and John Rusterholz for covering the basics from designing a layout and choosing a transformer through buying trains, creating scenery and wiring a trackside signal to a switch motor.

Because I'm not a novice when it comes to doing this stuff, I often find myself giving out much of the same type of information. If you're new to the hobby or just getting back into it, this is a must read. Truth be told, I even learned a thing or two. Nice job gentlemen!
