the tires on my MTH M1a started slipping off tonight. Is it time for new ones?

 Thanks

Dave

Put them back in place and see what happens. I had an MTH N&W J that threw a tire several years back, so I just put it back in place and it has been fine ever since.

Depends how much the tire has stretched. I just replaced the tires on a couple locos, a MTH SD-60 and a Lionel Atlantic, the tires had stretched to the point where they would not stay on. Both locos have a ton of hours on them so I can't complain.

I had a lionel 0-4-0 switcher that was throwing tires and I just changed them. They are cheap enough. I still save the old ones if they are not broke. They might fit a little better on another engine.
