When I was a teenager I wanted 20 Lionel BN covered hoppers. I think they were #6101. I only had 2. I'd love to have 20, 50 or 100 Weaver PS2CD high side green CNW hoppers but 100 of them would cost nearly what my pickup is worth. So early next week #29 + #30 Lionel CN 9013 hoppers will arrive. Most of them bought for around $5. Most ebay but some at train shows. Removing plastic truck pins and installing #8 bolts with nylon locknuts is pretty easy and they handle the curves much better without tipping inwards. Some of them are a little darker in color. If it wasn't for some debts I have to pay off I'd go for 50. Maybe after the debts are paid off I'll be back to buying most every Lionel 9013 that shows up on ebay.

There's nohing like having a long train of the same type freight car, it's more prototypical in appearence and operation.
