Old train info
Posted by tatans on Monday, April 27, 2009 5:52 PM

Back in the 1950's I got a train for Xmas, it was a diesel (red) and I'm sure it was 2 track, about the scale of American flyer, it was a piece of junk, noisy, ugly, and ran around a circle, there were 3 cars with it, I have no idea of the make, is there a catalog or book or source here that might show a photo of these nondescript train sets???   It may rate as the worst train set ever made.

if it was 2 rail it probally was american flyer but then again I believe marx / martoys also did some 2 rail 50's could be a tricky time also as ho came out in the 50's so you could be doing a lot of looking. if I'm correct and probally not but I believe there were some cheap 2 rail made in japan models back then also wish you could find some old pics and scan them up
