Hi, I'm new here and just got a General Models Corporation NW-2 and am having a hard time finding any info on this engine.  does anyone know how rare these are and did GMC make any other engines.  Thanks in advance for any help.

General Models NW-2's are not all that rare. They are nowhere near as common as Lionel but the demand for the General Models NW-2 is not as high as for Lionel. GMC also made a hand car and trolley that looks similar to Lionel's trolley. The GMC trolley was a big seller and relatively easy to find today. I have some old Model RR mags from the 50's. One mail order dealers advertises a GMC mountain kit. Another advertises a "GMC boiler and cab without noting what type of steamer it is. There is a GMC ad that offers a buyers guide called the "O Gauger" so my guess is maybe they were a distributor/MFG like Walthers? This is as far as my knowledge of GMC goes.
