Has anyone purchased this book and is it worthwhile?

I have it.  It is a bit on the basic side.  But as to worth, depends on what your knowledge base is, and what your plans are for your layout.  If you are going to install Command Control, you may be better off getting the book by Neil B. from Kalmbach.  If you are going to just stick with conventional, it would be worth it as Ray has a few tips on wiring for accessories, etc.

PS: your library may have this book and that would allow you to get a good look to see if it is worth purchasing.  Also, this web site has PDF files for download for a few dollars, I believe a couple are on wiring.
