So...bottom line, will my dump car dump from a special track piece? Is that track piece the simple magnet style in the middle of the track? I have Atlas, Lionel both. or will it require the remote? I've heard a bundle of different theories, but it seems as if at least one person has the exact car that works from the track activation. It's headed back to Lionel tomorrow with the remote to see what they can do with the mess. Jake
Bottom line is I'd still love to have a log car that didn't hurl the logs onto the mill!
From reading the K LIne Catalog, The dump car will work with th UCS track or remote. With no sliding shoe on the car it would have to be the magnet. It must operate a switch and not a plunger. The instructions did state to move the mechanism only with power.
