MTH Southern Ry FT question
Posted by SPMan on Monday, October 13, 2008 1:00 PM
I just saw this somewhere recently on E Bay I think.  I must have overlooked this model because I like the Tuxedo paint job in the green and white color.  The MTH # is 20-2445-1.  Is this engine scale size?  Maybe I could look it up if I could find out what year it came out. Ray

You can find this information by going to the MTH website and using the advanced search feature by entering the item number.  It's www.mth-railking.com.  Here's what I learned --

C B fan,  Thank you.  I have that catalog and will look it up.  I think the one I saw on E Bay sold for around $350 but it was used I suppose.  That was probably before they had DCS or Proto 2.  I imagine it's Proto 1 with all the characteristics of that which were not all good.  That color scheme on an F units has alluded me at least the ones made by MTH.  I think Atlas made tuxedo paint jobs in black and white colors for Southern Ry.  I bought the MTH Southern F units with the Pelican Paint Scheme which is the one with the white roofs.  I bought it new at York but subsequently sold it after having second thoughts about the color.  Ray
