There's some interesting 'pewter' engineer figures out there if this is what you mean. They are eminently kit-bashable - so can be relatively easily made into what you'd like. I am a fan of the Arttista brand, which are more 'modern' - You would like Andrew C Stadden's work (his are 1:43). His Edwardian figures might work for BFoC. Mountainviewminiatures.com offers more 'traditional' figures

My BFoC will be an "historical" train on my layout, so I don't mind the late steam-era fireman's outfit.
