trying to help my dad find a 1960 Mantua dc71 motor for a mikado 2-8-2. I would apreciate any and all information on how to find a replacement. Thank you.[:)]

Try Bowser. The Bowser web site is www.bowser-trains.com. They sell replacement DC-71 motors with skew-wound armatures. There is also a link from the Bowser web site to Alliance Locomotive Products, who sell repowering kits for Bowser, Mantua, Athearn, etc. using can motors. Good luck! [:)]
