To all who may be interested.. I have been searching different forums around the web for some time in the puruit of improving the smoke output of my UP Berk Jr at lower voltages. The result of this can be seen in the videos below. The modification consisted of removing the Lionel ceramic heating element, and replacing it with a standard MTH element. Coupling this with some high quality wicking meant that the smoke output is outstanding compared to the tiny wafts from the Lionel produce.
