i was told that there was a bacon smelling smoke fluid being made out there but the person wasn`t sure as where to get it, now thanks to all of you fine gentlemen i know where to get it. i want to use it in my smoking diner.my doctor doesn`t want me around the real stuff as he thinks it contributed to my heart attack.do you think 6 pieces of 1/4 double smoked bacon could do that?

From a person with a difibalator in them simple amswer is YES It my cause or I should say my cause was eating a lb of bacon every three days was mine (1/3 LB every day basicly. ) I eat turkey bacon by butterball now its acually pretty good that or turkey sausage I prefer the bulk italian style.

Speaking strictly as someone who lost his 51-year-old dad to a heart attack at age 19, my philosophy is to do whatever I have to do to avoid having a heart attack, period. My wake-up call was when one of Dad's cousins had to have a triple bypass at 54 and the doctor called his condition the "widowmaker." A little more research and I found out that virtually all males in my family start having heart problems in their 50s and either die of a heart attack in their 50s, or die of strokes, usually in their 60s, and it's been a recurring pattern since the late 1800s.

So I eat a lot of turkey and chicken, tons and tons of vegetables, and red meat maybe a couple of times a week if that.  It was a hard adjustment to make. Farquhar males don't eat fruits and vegetables, and my two favorite things to eat are hamburgers and BBQ--I may live in St. Louis, but there's a lot of Kansas City in me. I was in my 20s when I did it, but I didn't want my life to be half over. To me, I don't care what food it is, it's not worth the likely drop in life expectancy. So I eat a burger maybe once a month, and only go out for BBQ when I'm in Kansas City, which works out to once or twice a year. And so far, so good.

Oh, and one other thing: It's amazing what they're doing with soy these days. Really. Some of the soy burgers are very good, and soy bacon is as good. Not as good as the best of the real thing, but as good as or better than the typical supermarket stuff. So if you need a fix, get some soy.

    i lost my wife on 7/10/2007 due to a lengthy illness it is a blessing that she isn`t suffering anymore. i`am taking the position i might as well live each day as it might be my last,idon`t want to wind up in the nursing home so off to the meat man and get that double smoked bacon and inhale the bacon scented smoke by megasteam.this is getting morbid so no more yacking about it.              dutchman

I'm pretty young comparatively, and just had a son a year ago.  It's amazing how much family means to me now.  So much more than it did just a year ago.  I couldn't imagine life without my family now.  Most people without kids don't see it, just like I didn't.  It makes you rethink just about everything in life...includng health.
