It means that Bob K or Bergie, for whatever reason, rule breaking, flame wars, ect... Has locked the post where no one can post at it. Smile [:)]

Ususal reason for a lock was noted in the previous post, the moderators have deciced to deny posting rights on that thread.  You may also run into a lock that is a transient lock caused by the software either for maintenance purposes or just a glitch.  The system may not have fully recognized your credentials when you logged in, the data base was doing internal maintenance, ...
