NOtice there is not one complaining about York rules thread here. It's already popped up on the other board. Happens every time with the same players whining and whining about the rules they on't like.
There's just more train talk here and it's a good thing.

Hey Mike S - good to hear from you and thanks for the post. I like it here also. All good friends here. I plan to be at York Oct 18 - 20 (of course things can change unexpectedly). Got my packet in the mail yesterday. Another CTT forumites photo shoot?

I find it interesting that a some on this site like to take "digs" at those on the other site, not the other way around. "More train talk here"??? The other site has far more activity/postings in general...but yes, it does have it's "York debates" as well. Joe

I too enjoy this board. It IS much more personable. Personnally, I find I will always, consider the advice I receive from someone I have a history with more seriously, than what I receive from a stranger. More of a basis to access the validity of that advice. Secondly, the personableness, more like a group of people "talking" at a LHS, as opposed to reading "letters from the editor". Give me CTT anytime.
On the downside there is always those that just like to cause trouble, or are in need of "attention". I think your thread was fine!

This board has a great, friendly atmosphere to it. I think we take our trains and each other a lot less seriously that other forums do. The knowledge and technical advice here is second to none. This forum feels like a gathering of friends. OGR's and MTJ's forums have never seemed that way to me. Maybe because I'm a pot-stirring troll?
