OK, so maybe I am getting a bit of rivet counter in me, but since I am modelling late 40s to early 50s, I was wondering if anyone knows of a source for O scale 48 star American Flags? I am keeping my eye out for a PW Lionel Flag Pole set, but would also like some other flags. Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis,
Try the Flag Lady's Flag Store in Columbus, OHIO
also, you could print one on paper with the computer. If you want to put something on fabric, computer iron-ons might work.

Go online and do an image search for " 48 star American flag".
Down load an image you like. Then copy it and flip it so it's revered.
Print out both images and paste them together back-to-back.

Here is a picture of a plasticville 48 star flag. It would fit with "O"
It is 6" tall
Thanks, I will follow up and post results

I am not sure how your search for a flag faired, but I was looking for a FL state flag in O Scale yesterday and remembered the thread you started. I was not able to find a FL flag, but I did find a 48 star American Flag :

The navigation on the site is a little different - in the upper right corner is a drop down. "The Flags" will display the available flags, while Model Tips takes you to a page that explains the size options, A - F.
Hope this help!

Luther, thanks for the site. I will try it at work and see if I can get something off it. I have not tried it now as I have to get the kids to bed. Hope things are going well for you. We are fine. I noticed that our state has a number of train related exhibits/festivals coming up soon. I found these on the web sites from CTT's home page. Also, our local NS yard has has several UP, Conrail, Southern, and others engines coming through. I am not sure what the schedules are regarding what will be where and when.
I just did a search on ebay for "Plasticvill Flag" and they have 4 listed.
Have you observed the stars on our 50 star flag.
All rows are odd number of stars.

I did not explain my observation completely.
Yes rows alternate even, odd, even number of stars. Columns are odd, even, odd number of stars.
Diagonally are all odd number of stars.
