Holiday Thank-You Notes
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 14, 2006 9:49 AM

I think I just posted in another thread that we tend to consentrate on the negatives in our hobby. I believe we have much to be thankful for. My holiday thank you notes:

To: Mike Wolf and Neil Young - two true train nuts going head to head and bringing us the best trains ever! Thanks, guys. (Try not to kill each other! :>) TMCC and DCS both are great - but together they flat-out rock!

And thank you, TAS, Electric Railroad, and Digital Dynamics for bringing command control to my to my trains, old and new, that might otherwise sit on the shelf.

And thank you, Jerry Williams, for making those good quality, basic trains that the hobby needs to keep it affordable and growing. And thank you to all the smaller, independent MFGs out there for adding so much variety to our hobby.

And thank you to all the local train and hobby shops where we can still see and buy trains and chat about them with people face to face. Hang in there, guys.

Regards,

Old 2037

I would like to thank CTT and the administrators of this forum for providing this relatively new Internet technology that can and has enhanced my enjoyment of our hobby.   OTTS, which began as a joke on this forum, now is helping to run a model train museum!  I have met many of the members of this forum in person and hope to meet several more this next year.
