Guess she would have kept it on the island in the kitchen and never said a word.  Almost grounds for divorce. Wink [;)]  She did the same for a check from Pro Mariner the other day.  I found it two days later.  Will put her on restriction and not let her go to the mail box. Wink [;)]  Had seen it at Miss Edna's [Todd's Train Depot] the other day.  As always it has some good "stuff" in it.

Chief - I just cancelled my subscribtion to CTT.  I cannot get the Post Office from destroying each issueAngry [:(!]  I have called the Post Office and even left a letter in the mail box to no avail...

Wish I could receive it in the mail but will just have to goto Barnes & Noble.  Well, can always get the Starbucks coffee while there too!

Sorry to hear that Dan.  At least you are looking on the lite side of the issue.  My District Post Master know me well [I've filed so many complaints].  They've quit destroying my magazines [I get several].  Go get your copy and drink coffee while reading. Smile [:)]

a shame most wives aren't into trains; would be so much more fun if half the audience on this forum were women. Guess you'd have to go to a forum on shoes to draw the opposite sex! (ooops, apoligies for the incorrect PC statement!)

As my wife says David, "if the shoe fits, buy it in every color". Precisely my train buying philosophy if it is steam and has a Southern Ry or N&W road name.Smile [:)]

Hey Dewey,

My wife has the same outlook as yours does regarding clothes. I can't imagine how much money she's squandered on shoes, clothes, purses, etc since we've been married. I do know it's quite a large sum though. I honestly think women believe money is a never ending replenishable resource. I keep trying to save it and she keeps spending it. Some day, that rainy day is going to get here.

The new CTT is out already?! I haven't received mine yet. Kinda early isn't it? If it comes today, I'll tell Marylin Monroe to take a hike!

Jim, my wife is the Champ on buying pocketbooks [purses in New England], shoes, coats and other clothes.  Even her girlfriends give her a hard time about it.  She never says a word about my trains and the boxes left by UPS.

Dewey, mine is some N&W but NS, I'm hooked.

You guyz crack me up.  I lost count of the number of items she got rid of because she hasnt worn them in the past 5 years.  I say to her, "If  you havent worn it in the past 5 years what makes you think your going to wear it anytime soon?"  That was a bad idea because that just left room for new items that she isn't going to wear.  But it's ok cause she is improving, now she at least rips the price tag off of them and pretends like she wore it before she gets rid of it to make room for new items.Black Eye [B)]Big Smile [:D]

Shes soo worried about what we are going to do when the kids grow up and move out.  I said "we could do a garden railroad?"  She says "no, Im not THAT into trains" shes thinking more like pottery.  So I say how about we put the trains on one side of the basement and the pottery oven on the other?  That way we will be doing stuff, "together"!  She agreed!  Besides I think she will get into it someday maybe hopefully.....

How is it that a certain Southern rascal got his CTT before us upstanding Yankee OTTS members?!

For once, I hope it doesn't come today. It's teeming out as one storm after another rolls through - sure fire guarantee the mail'll be soaked.

Jim,

I don't think he got it. Pam throws them away. CTT wouldn't send his out before us OTTS members.

Mine arrived here in the NORTH in pristine condition, I just don't understand how some copies are mutilated and month after month mine arrives in perfect shape. Maybe the mail carriers in the north are more sensitive and caring :)

Jon, mine has always arrived in pristine condition, too.  Another plus for living in the NORTH, the mail carriers don't stop at the outhouses along the route and use anything that is available to substitute for TP.Big Smile [:D]

(Jon, I don't think the guys below the MD will even understand my comment, do you?)

No, they probably won't understand your comments but it's our duty to keep trying, they need our help and understanding. It's always good to be helpful.
