Here is the new Polar Express set I got on Friday....


I took pictures of each box I opened (feeling very much like a little kid again [:D])

I won't bore everyone with each picture, as I am sure you all know what the inside of a starter set might look like....

Here are the CTT Forum Gang and Coil Coupler airplane photos from York...

Here is the first pass of the airplane over the fairgrounds (can we say Neil Young financed????). Had to resize these for the forum. The first banner says "LEGACY DANG" which is likely referencing the annoucement by Jerry Calabrese at the TCA Museum Lionel presentation that TMCC II release will be in 2007 (According to John who was able to attend the presentation).



Here is the second pass of the airplane over the fairgrounds with "WWW.COILCOUPLERS.COM" on the banner.



Here is the CTT Forum Gang that was able to make it for the photo op and some fun discussions. Kent Johnson got tied up in the CTT booth and was not able to join us outside the Orange Hall for the photos.

Left to right are CTT's Bob Keller, George Lazar (LAZ57), Bob Mitchell (mitchelr), me (wrmcclellan), John Fullerton (jefelectric), and CTT's Neil Besougloff. George's wonderful wife Pam took the photos (has to be wonderful if she was at York right!). Can you tell which person in the photo teaches junior high shop class?



And here is the photo where someone's wife exerted appropriate parental controls.



I also got to meet and spend a while with another CTT forumite, Dave Baran, of DM&M Railroad Company. Since he was manning a table and selling his great telephone poles (yes I bought some) he was unable to join us.

Paul, nice flowers. Did landscaping for the outside toy trains. You can see some of the plantings here. Also, the rains filled up Hound River Canyon.

I've still got a lot of Zurich Switzerland train photos left that I'll try to post now and then. These are some trolleys crossing lake Zurich.

I loved the photos of you guys at York. I was disappointed to see how small of a guy LAZ really is in person. Since he owns an 800 lb bear, I thought he would be 7' 9" tall and weigh at least 400 lbs.

One of these Sundays, we need to do a whole series of train wreck photos.

Nice Photo's everyone! Looks like laz was having some fun with Bob(Mitch) in the first photo & Bob Keller was enjoying it as well[;)][:P][:o)][:D] Too bad the 800lb Bear could not make it to York. PBJWilson- Tell Jordie "Happy Belated 7th Birthday" Hope he got a 1688 as a present.[;)] Take Care all.

More progress on my buddy's layout. We're competing to see who can do the most spectacular scenery and he's winning by a landslide (well, I have created some better landslides outside). [:D]
