I did what you're doing- I temporarilly secured my camera to an LTI "Farm Equipment" flatcar. Yes, I do have one long tunnel, as well as a cut though a small hill, as you can see in this old in-progress shot:

My toy train buddy, who lives in Springfield, VA, went to the Greenberg show last weekend. Said 80% of the show was HO and N! What gives??????

Anyways, he picked up a flat car for $15. Actually several. He loaded it with logs and shipped it off to his wharf, which I thought you might like to see. He's got a Canon Rebel and took a 12 second elapsed time photo. I told him to do a story for CTT!

He just emailed me another. This is a 15 second exposure. Told him I'd share it with friends. He's retired Navy Capt. Gordon Peterson. I worked with him at Sea Power Magazine in a previous job. He's quite the model railroader!

Yes, Doug, 3-rail. Atlas track. He's a former N scale guy so you can just imagine the amount of fine detailing he's used to doing. And at Sea Power Magazine, he was extremely well detailed in the articles he wrote (writes for USCG now).

I find that a person who is THAT detailed in model RRing often is equally detailed in other things in life (borderline obsessive-compulsive????)

Hi laz 57, do you by change have the measurments for the coal breaker ? That looks like a nice model for me to build in G-scale.
