2 rail tubular O gauge
Posted by aurora351 on Sunday, January 31, 2010 3:59 PM

Going through some old boxes and I came across some 2 rail O gauge track. Its tubular like 3 rail. It has a small dimple in the tie where a third rail would go, just never was stamped out. Never seen it before, just wondered who made it.

It has 3 black ties that look like the old Marx kind. The pins even look like the ones Marx used.

I believe that Marx produced wind up trains.  That might explain the two rails.

The thought of wind up trains never crossed my mind. That would explain it.

I saw a Marx two-rail wind-up set just yesterday at a show.
