I was considering some bids but by the time I paid to have that NS repainted into a reputable livery, B&O/C&O/Chessie/CSX, it would run the prices to high. Oh well, such is life. Best wishes Lucy.   Big Smile

And now Chief's Pride and Joy is on the auction block.

I can't believe the number of photos he has sent me in the last years that I have kept.

I have'nt been following the Chief long enough to know exactly what toys he has.  All I keep hearing about is things to eat like tomato sandwiches, pop corn, Eastern North Carolina Bar-B-Que and grits.  I'll bid $2,00 for a pint of that Bar-B-Que and you can throw in some hush puppies and Brunswick stew if you have any in cans.

Mr. Buckeye,

Yes you are right, his favorite.  But someone has been back there working on it all day, so I think I should show you a more current picture.

I know there has been a line around this thing all day, it should bring a real HIGH Price !!!

Wow!!! What an improvement.  Are flanged wheels going to be added?

Speaking of trains, the Chief used to have a hand cranked railroad that ran around the pond.  He would get on one of the cars and just crank away to relieve stress.

Are the hand cranks going to be for sale?

Hey, Jon, thanks for thinking of me!

I'll fly up and take delivery, I'll meet you in Iowa and we can tour the midwest a bit.  I'm free Thanksgiving weekend!

I'll bid 10 cents for the building on blocks.  It should fit in great with the rest of the "Southern" atomsphere here....

Hey Luce, I'll throw in a nice ham bone if'n I win it..!

I just realized there is only 1 day left,  I discovered two other items I want to bid on.

1.  Chief has a COMPLETE set of MINT CLASSIC TOY TRAIN MAGAZINES, and TRAINS MAGAZINE.  (None of them have ever been opened.)  I will bid $600.00

2.  I also found the "infamous" Roseyville Pencil,  since there is only one in the entire city, I plan on renting it back on a as required basis.   Bid $3.00  (Just in case there is not a lot of rental opportunities, maybe if they stop carving in the trees I would do better with the rental.)

Has any body thought about poor ole Lucy when a certain mayor returns to ROSEYVILLE, N.C. ?

I would offer her a place but I have a few cats that would probally make kitty chow out of her.

Now I could find her temp housing for say a week I guess anybody else she has helpped us all out tremenously.

Good point RT!!  Due to your kindness towards Lucy, you have prevented me from making a horrible mistake in selling off the Chief's Roseyville Estate including the palatial mansion with the holes in the wall.  Since I don't want to see Lucy homeless, I will refrain from posting the photos of the estate, but now that I have the Roseyville Windmill, I am now the Mayor of Roseyville and like my predecessor the Chief I prefer that you address me as;

"Your Excellent Highness Giver of All That is Good, Defender of All Evil, Ruler Above Reproach,  Mayor of Roseyville, North Carolina, United States of America, Third Planet from the Sun."

BTW, if I ever owned a Lakehouse, I will have high speed internet access. You can take it to the bank and I will meet you there with all the money I now have after selling all of the Chief's stuff, except the windmill

Lucy....I won't forget where to take all the proceeds of the auction, The William T. Sherman Museum in Lancaster, Ohio.   While I'm there I stop at the LHS and help the Ohio economy, which I'm sure you will appreciate.   Of course, for Christmas this year, another big box of Kibbles and Bits is on its way for you to enjoy.   When the Chief arrives home, just tell him, "I'm not a guard dog.  I'm not a guard dog."
