I browse the forum regularly and rarely post.

In computer language.........capital posts.... are usually considered shouting.

All of your posts are LOUD!

Probably an oversight.....

Not all caps.  Number 4 size font comes out bold and used by others too.

SO WHO CARES WHAT PRINT IS USED, CAPS ARE EASIER TO READ AND IF THE CHIEF WAS REALLY GOING TO SHOUT, EVERYONE WOULD KNOW IT.

A few of us aren't what you would call computer literate (myself included) and don't know the difference. Nor do we care.

Only a slight oversight on your part, not the Chiefs.  If he or anyone else, wants to use any type of font, size or  color, this computer literate person doesn't care one wit.

Dave,

If you only browse and don't reply, why does it bother you so much? Just because a RESPECTED forum member posts in large font doesn't mean you have to criticize him for it. Oh, my bad, I just did a word in all caps, are you going to start a thread about me now?

I try not to judge too harshly.  Dave M has only 26 posts, so perhaps he is not familiar with the forum.  However, he has been a member since 2005 (longer than myself) and if he has done any browsing on this forum at all, he would certainly come across one or two of Chief's 7000+ posts and would have realized that the size of his type was not menacing.

I am a strong believer in etiquette.  While there may be universal standards, you still must understand local customs.  The personalities on this board is one of its greatest strengths.  I feel bad the poster does not recognize this.

Regards,

John

25 posts in 3 years and you chose this topic as #26?

Real nice.

Not sure who you are, my guess is this isn't your normal moniker, but personal attacks on the board - even if it is to critize someone's font size - isn't welcome.

WRITTING IN ALL CAPS IS ALSO A WAY OF ENSURING WHAT YOU ARE TYPING IS READ!

Looks to me like there's some nice traffic out front... now go play in it! Wink [;)]

CSX.....In the future, please show some respect for the other forum members and maintain the integrity of the thread by staying on topic.  The second half of your post belongs in the Pot.  Even us Yankees know something, though Chief won't admit it (see thread about train room lighting).  Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I havn't seen a counter attack like this since I saw Custer's last stand on the History Channel.
