Resoldering Wire lead to Brush Plate on Lionel #50/ Gang Car

Hello,

looking for Help on this subject.  Small wire lead is coming from Left side of Wire Roll COIL in between the two Field Assemblies.  It is stuck inside the small slot on left side of Coil.  It's just a small stubble which protrudes half way thru slot.  I can try & put some TinNing compound on stuble but afraid it will stick to left side of Coil.  I cannot get to inside left side of Coil to unravel it.  (Removed two Hex head studs above Field Assemblies but cannot get enough room on left Side Coil).
Thanks, Jack
