Central California Traction, Puget Sound Electric and Michigan Railways all used 1200v third rail. Michigan Railways tried 2400 volt third rail, but the resulting occasional arcs and the "cattle pens" required to keep passengers safe forced them to drop back to "only" 1200. As far as I can determine New Haven's center third rail was 600 volts
