An ill fated US Army ALCO-GE MRS-1 engine from obscure history of 1978

One interesting and i am pretty sure unique piece of train history from 1978 courtesy of Sandia National Labs was an ill fated US Army ALCO-GE MRS-1 engine that became the worlds first rocket powered train. There is quite a lot of story behind this but I thought I would start off with a video and see if a discussion comes from it.    If a picture is worth a 1000 words well then the video should keep my input relatively brief
