I am hoping that readers familial with the city of Phila. or the Reading RR might be of help. For years now I have been intigued by a photo of a Reading T1 from the Bert Pennypacker book Reading Company in Color, vol 2 page 18 where the locomotive is pictured. The caption says that it is somewhere in Philly at an undisclosed location. The photo has it as four tracks in a deep cut. I think I might now know where it is, a section of the Port Richmond branch in North Philly near Hunting Park Ave. This branch was lined with factories with the first story of dressed stone and the upper stories of brick, like the background in the photo. Most are now gone with only a few derelict buildings on the line. The track is still used today by CSAO but is down to a single track. It was double tracked for many years and in the photo the two outside tracks may be industrial sidings, not running tracks. There is no catenary in the photo so it is not one of Reading's MU passenger tracks. I have railfanned this line from Richmond St. to Falls Bridge and would like to find out where on this line the photo may have been taken if, in deed, on this line at all. If any readers have any information on this oddball quest of mine I would very much appreciate it. Thanks
