Typical trains of the "Omaha Road"
Posted by Dynodan on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 8:47 AM

I am new to the website. A sign artist, creating a dimensional crafted sandblasted billboard for the town of Spooner, Wi. which was the center of the "great Omaha X". Chicago,St. Paul. Minneapolis and Omaha Railroads 1856-1992

Could anyone help me find reference photos, (fairly high resolution) of typical trains from the omaha road used during the earlier years of this era?  I would appreciate it so much if you could help me access some good photos of trains.. Thank you, Dynodan

If there's a local hobby shop in Spooner, they might have this in stock. If not, you can order it over the internet. If you ever get down to the Twin Cities, the last time I was at Scale Model Supplies in St. Paul (a week ago) they had a copy in stock IIRC. They don't normally do mail order but if you need it right away you could contact them and they probably could work something out to mail it to you. I've had the book for years and it's very well done.
