Santa Fe El Capitan

I am trying to recreate the El Capitan. I rode it in the summer of 1969. What engine would have led the Santa Fe El Capitan? I am not finding much information or pictures from that time period. Any help would be appreciated.

Santa Fe's F3s and F7s led EL Cap and Super Chief trains.

Lots of F7 red warbonnets, but FP45's on the way. GE 6 axle units banished to the texas chief. Used to catch a westbound Southwest Limited operating next to the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) from Ash crossing to Harlem with a string of superliners, led by 3 F40's. Very impressive steel expressway!

I rode the El Cap twice, Chicago-L.A., in 1960 and 1961. As I recall, the power was F units on both trips, both directions.

Super Chief-El Capitan was also led by warbonnet FP45's ahead of blue-and-yellow F45's with a steam generator car. The F45's had steam and signal lines and the FP45's led since they were equipped with cab signals.
