This picture was taken February 19, 1982. This section of track was built by the United Railways of San Francisco in the early 20th century. Between the opening of the N line in 1928 and the conversion of Line 6 to gasoline (later trolley) buses in 1948 this route was shared by two car lines, originally operated by two different organizations. I have a copy of a photo taken by Addison Laflin about 1950 near this spot. It's interesting to note how little the scene changed in 30 years.
