The Georgia Railroad was part of my territory when I was working CSX's Atlanta Division.  While the mixed train was long gone when I was working the territory, the Georgia Building Authority for several years operated at 'dinner train' from Underground Atlanta out to Stone Mountain and retrun all over the Georgia Railroad trackage.  These train were crewed by CSX crews.

As a railroad, the Georgia had the worst of all conditions. It had Automatic Block Signals, however their reliability was suspect therefore trains could not be given 'Proceed Authorities' to follow trains on signal indication.  Trains got Direct Train Control blocks for movement authority, however, the trains had to comply with all signal indications - good and bad.  All in all a very unique rail line.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
