Would have been better to start things off with conventional equipment...FP40PH-3s and conventional coaches purchased second hand. Ontario is in debt up to its eyeballs.. I'm all for bringing the train back, but it has to be done in a fiscally responsible way.

I agree, and initially using secondhand equipment or ONR's other existing cars (they never stopped running passenger trains north of Cochrane) could mean restarting the service tomorrow.  I mean, aren't all the stations from 2012 still there?
