Incident happened at Maple Av. in Brunswick, MD - truck was 'stuck' in traffic with its trailer fouling the tracks. 

A thought.  We Make a concerted effort to never get trapped on RR tracks even the person behind is constantly blowing horn.  However, if somehow I was trapped on a crossing with train coming I would push any vehicle along to clear.  Better the charge of hitting a vehicle vs. the alternative.

Not all drivers possess that thought process.

Recall Ft. Lauderdale Amtrak incident of striking a gasoline tanker almost 30 years ago.

The semi-trailer was knocked into a second truck. I believe the driver of the second truck was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. CBS News said Rockville, but I'm guessing Enzoamps knows better.

Actually up the road a few miles in Brunswick.   Semi truck trailer fouled th track and the train hit the trailer.  Apparently no one was hurt.  Saw some video of a guy on the train talking about it to someone.  He said he was near Martinsburg at the time, so the train must have moved on after the collision.  I could see daylight out the window over his shoulder.   Martinsburg in the next stop west of Harpers Ferry.

Today in Rockville MD. Westbound. No fatalities. No one injured on train.
