I wonder why this train could use the high speed line thru Italy, while the TGV had to use the conventional line?
Combine this sort of seat with a hover base. Implement the all-you-can-eat on some American basis (I see regional cooperation in the choice of foods), and blend it with subsidized DoorDash on demand. It will be interesting to see how much of that 'high speed Internet' is buffered or stored onboard rather than streamed through a train gateway.
Their business class had some interesting amenities too... and note how well patronized it was.
I'd like to see more about the bistro car: how it is staffed, how its food is stored and prepared, how the portions are 'scheduled' and provided to the train...
As noted in the previous thread on this train: the company knows what to do, and is eager to do it right.
