Not exactly sure where the cars will be taken fopr their wreck damage? The shops at Beech Grove, Indiana seem to have their own staff of 'metal working' miracle workers. I am not familiar with any other heavy repair facilities under Amtrak ( Bear, De. Maybe(?). But that is quite a distance form Montana... Those 'Superliner' cars seem to be some pretty tough equipment. Remember, it has not been, but maybe, a couple of years back, when the SWChief was laid over on its' side, out here in Kansas, after a grain truck, from a local feed lot.apprently, caused a rail to turn over(?). Causing the SWC to lay-over on its side.

From the pictures that have been on 'the net'. There does not appear to be sufficient damage to warrant scraping of the cars involved; that being said, without being a Amtrak mechanical officer charged with the responsibility to make the decisions - what will ultimately happen is in Amtrak's hands.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
